Does DevToolChain send my data anywhere?

No. Every tool runs entirely on your device. The app has no analytics, no accounts, no ads, and no third-party dependencies. Text you paste, keys you generate, and secrets you store never leave your Mac or iPhone.

Where are my Keychain secrets stored?

In the system Keychain on your own device — not in the app and not in the cloud. Each secret is guarded by the protection you pick: none, device passcode, or Face ID / Touch ID. Values stay encrypted until you explicitly tap Reveal. Deleting the app removes its stored secrets.

Why does the Network Scanner ask for local network permission?

The scanner probes addresses on your own LAN to list nearby hosts and their open ports, which macOS gates behind the local-network permission. Nothing is uploaded — results stay on your machine. You can grant or revoke this in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. This tool is macOS-only.

The app won't install or update

Confirm you're signed in to the App Store with the account that purchased the app
Check your internet connection and available storage
Make sure your OS meets the app's minimum version requirement

The app crashes or freezes

Update to the latest version from the App Store
Restart the app, then restart your device
If it persists, email me the tool you were using and what you pasted in (redact anything sensitive)

Can I use my own text with the QR generator?

Yes — any text, URL, or Wi-Fi string. Pick an error-correction level (higher levels survive more damage), then copy the code to the clipboard or share it as an image. Generation happens on-device with no network call.

What languages does the app support?

English, German, Spanish, French, and Turkish. The app follows your system language automatically.
